Gippy Grewal has denied his friendship with Salman Khan. This happened after Lawrence Bishnoi attacked his house in Canada over the weekend.
After Lawrence Bishnoi claimed that he was behind the shooting outside Gippy Grewal’s house in Canada, the Punjabi actor has clarified that he is not close to Salman Khan.
Gippy stated, “I have no friendship with Salman Khan.” He informed the portal that he has met Salman only twice, one of which was during the trailer launch of his Punjabi film ‘Mausam Hi Mausam’ earlier this year. Gippy said, “The producer who supported the film (Mausam Hi Mausam) had invited Salman for the trailer launch. I met him there. Before that, I had met him on the set of Bigg Boss. I have no friendship with Salman Khan, and there is anger against me for that. This is still shocking for me, and I am unable to understand what has happened to me.”
He further shared about the incident of gunfire outside his house, “It happened around 12:30 to 1 AM on Sunday. My house is in West Vancouver, and the incident happened there. We are not able to understand what happened and why… When this incident happened, I was surprised because I have never faced any controversy before. I have no enmity with anyone, so I couldn’t fathom who could be behind the attack.”
Regarding Lawrence Bishnoi‘s statement, Gippy wrote on Facebook on Sunday, “You consider Salman Khan as your brother, but now the time has come for your ‘brother’ to save you. This message is also for Salman Khan – don’t live under the illusion that Dawood will save you; no one can save you. There was no attention to your dramatic reaction to the death of Sidhu Moose Wala. We all know what kind of person he was and what his criminal connections were… Now you are on our radar. Consider it a trailer; the full movie will be released soon. You can go to any country you want, but remember, you don’t need a visa for death; it comes uninvited.”
Security Increased for Salman Khan:
In March 2023, after Salman Khan‘s private assistant received a threatening email, Mumbai Police increased security around his home. A case was filed against gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, his associate Goldy Barar, and another person at the Bandra Police Station for allegedly threatening Salman.
Earlier in 2023, Lawrence Bishnoi had accused Salman Khan of insulting his community by killing blackbucks during the shooting of the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in Rajasthan. Members of the Bishnoi community had filed complaints against Salman and other co-stars – Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam, and Tabu – related to the killing of animals. The 1998 blackbuck poaching case has been in the media over the past two decades and is still pending in the courts.
