After three months of its premiere, Zee TV’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2023’ came to an end on Sunday, November 26, with a grand finale. Albert Cabo Lepcha from Kalimpong, West Bengal, was declared the winner of the music reality show. Throughout the season, viewers witnessed the guidance of judges – Himesh Reshammiya, Anu Malik, and Neeti Mohan, shaping emerging singing talents. Meanwhile, Aditya Narayan, as the show’s host, entertained everyone.
Albert Cabo Lepcha Wins ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2023’
In the grand finale, Albert Cabo Lepcha was announced as the winner of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2023.’ He consistently delivered excellent performances throughout the season, earning love and support from both judges and viewers. During the grand finale, Albert was presented with the trophy. On the other hand, Nishtha Sharma and Ranita Banerjee were declared the first and second runners-up, respectively.
Expressing his reaction to the victory, Albert stated, “This feels like a dream come true for me! Honestly, the competition was tough because all the competitors in the season were very talented, and I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to share the stage with them.
My journey on the show has been a fantastic learning experience, and I want to thank all my mentors and judges who consistently supported me and helped enhance my skills as a singer. I also got the opportunity to create and release my own single, thanks to the esteemed wisdom of the judges; I received a lot of love for that too. Who is Albert Cabo Lepcha?
Currently residing in Kolkata with his wife, Albert Cabo Lepcha hails from Kalimpong, West Bengal. He is 27 years old and used to perform live shows (5-7 shows per month) before appearing on ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.’ A few months ago, he formed his own band called ‘Kabo N Company,’ where he performs with his band or occasionally solo. Albert began singing in his school programs and participated in singing competitions. He never received professional music training. Albert got married in 2015. After working as a chef in Bangalore, he returned to his hometown after his grandfather’s death and worked as a tourist guide with his wife before participating in the regional show of SRGMP a year ago.
What Happened in the Grand Finale?
The grand finale was nothing short of an entertainment extravaganza filled with captivating presentations and emotional performances. The last episode started with the top five finalists of the show – Sonia Gazmer, Sneha Bhattacharya, Nishtha Sharma, Albert Cabo Lepcha, and Ranita Banerjee showcasing power-packed performances. The episode was doubly exciting as Govinda, his wife Sunita Ahuja, and veteran actress Aruna Irani joined the judges. Harsh Limbachiyaa co-hosted this episode with Aditya Narayan.
The audience enjoyed watching Govinda dance in his unique style with judge Neeti Mohan on the song ‘O Haseena Zulfonwali.’ He set the stage on fire with his performance on the song ‘Chadhti Jawani’ with Aruna Irani. Govinda also sang ‘Saathiya Nahin Jana Ke Jee Na Lage’ for his wife Sunita.
