Trade expert Nishit Shaw shared a tweet on X, claiming the Prabhas-starrer movie Salaar official opening worldwide gross ₹178.70 crore.
The latest film ‘Salaar: Part One – Sejfire‘ by blockbuster KGF series director Prashant Neel has made a historic start at the box office, receiving a great response. According to sacnilk.com, this action film, starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Hassan in lead roles, is becoming popular among audiences. On its second day of release, the film earned more than ₹34 crores, with a total global collection of ₹127.98 crores.
Adding to that, the site mentioned that on Saturday, ‘Salaar: Sejfire – Part 1’ had an occupancy of 71.73% in Telugu, 36.26% in Malayalam, 26.69% in Tamil, 54.93% in Kannada, and 25.07% in Hindi.
During this time, business expert Nishit Shaw shared a tweet on Twitter, claiming that the Prabhas-starrer film has officially earned ₹178.70 crores worldwide. This makes ‘Salaar‘ the biggest opener of 2023 and the third biggest opener of all time, along with being Prabhas’s fourth century opener.
Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran also shared that ‘Salaar’ earned ₹178.7 crores worldwide on its opening day. He wrote, “The most intense man announces his arrival ⚠️ #SalaarCeaseFire hits 178.7 CRORES GBOC (Worldwide) on its opening day! The biggest opening.”
Looking at the regional collections, the film earned ₹70 crores in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions. On the first day, it recorded box office earnings of ₹12 crores and ₹5 crores.
With the film gaining momentum, it is expected to surpass 2023’s biggest openers like ‘Pathan,’ ‘Jawan,’ and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal,’ competing with Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Donkey’ at the box office.
