Malayalam actress Renjusha Menon was found dead in her apartment in Shreekaryam, Thiruvananthapuram. Several reports claimed this incident took place on Monday. According to Hindustan Times Telugu, the 35-year-old actress was discovered hanging in her flat where she lived with her husband Manoj.

The initial confirmation from the police suggested that her death was a suicide. Allegedly, the actress was going through financial distress. It was reported by NDTV that her body would undergo post-mortem examination later.

The police have started investigating the incident. According to Hindustan Times’ report, the case will be clearer after the post-mortem report is received.

According to local reports, Renjusha Menon, originally from Kochi, began her career as a television show anchor before appearing in a TV serial called ‘Stree.’

She is known for her supporting roles in various television shows and films such as ‘City of God,’ ‘Marykkundoru Kunjaadu,’ ‘Bombay March,’ ‘Karyasthan,’ ‘One Way Ticket,’ and ‘And The Oats Float,’ among others, as reported by NDTV.

Local reports state that Menon had also worked as a producer in several series and was a professional Bharatanatyam dancer. Her family includes her father C.G. Ravindranath and mother Umadevi.

Last month, another Malayalam actress, Aparna Nair, also died by suicide. She had worked in some series and films and was living with her husband and children, as confirmed by the police.

The news of Menon’s demise left her fans stunned and deeply saddened. They expressed their grief over her death and posted comments on her Instagram page. One user wrote, “Just a small moment can be enough to change fate… May your soul rest in peace, sister.”
