Co-starring Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna, ‘Animal’ is set to release theatrically on December 1

The much-anticipated action drama “Animal,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, released its trailer on Thursday as announced by the producers.

A tale of violent crime, the film features Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor in the roles of father and son. Alongside Ranbir, Rasmika Mandanna plays a pivotal role, while Bobby Deol takes on the lead character.

As depicted in the trailer, Ranbir portrays Arjun, a wealthy, sheltered boy seeking approval from his father, industrialist Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor). Arjun, haunted by fear of Balbir, returns to his family years later, only to find emotional complexities shrouded in darkness. Having married Geetanjali (Mandanna), who worships her father-in-law blindly, Arjun is thrust into a bloody path of vengeance when Balbir is brutally attacked on the golf course.

The trailer of “Animal” doesn’t shy away from bloodshed and brutality, showcasing an extraordinary shot of Ranbir on a Gatling machine gun. Sandeep Vanga, known for his previous Hindi film “Kabir Singh” (2019), which was a commercial hit despite criticism for its portrayal of toxic masculinity, promised a violent narrative in “Animal.”

“Animal” is written by Pranay Reddy Vanga, Sandeep Vanga’s elder brother, and Suresh Bhardwaj, with dialogues by Sourabh Gupta. The film has received an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Produced by T-Series Films, Bhadrakali Pictures, and Cine1 Studios, the movie features performances by Tripti Dimri, Suresh Oberoi, Siddhant Karnick, Prem Chopra, and Shakti Kapoor. The music for the film, including seven songs in various versions, is composed by Pritam, JAM8, Vishal Mishra, Jaani, Manan Bhardwaj, Shreyas Puranik, and others, with a background score by Harshavardhan Rameshwar.

Due to post-production delays, the film’s release has been pushed forward. With a massive runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes, “Animal” is set to theatrically release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on December 1.
