Renowned Telugu actor Chandra Mohan passed away today, November 11, at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad due to cardiac arrest. According to reports, the actor was undergoing treatment related to heart issues. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

As per information shared by Apollo PR Jagannadha Rao, the 82-year-old actor took his last breath at around 9:57 AM on Saturday at Apollo Hospital. According to ANI’s report, the final rites and farewell are scheduled to take place in Hyderabad on Monday, November 13. The Telugu film industry expressed grief over the demise of the veteran actor.

Megastar Chiranjeevi, upon hearing the news, penned an emotional note. He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of senior actor Chandramohan, who left an indelible mark on the hearts of Telugu people through his versatile acting in films like ‘Sirisirimuvva,’ ‘Sankarabharanam,’ ‘Radhakalyanam,’ and ‘Naku Pellam Kavali.’ Chiranjeevi reminisced about their first meeting during the film ‘Pranam Khareedu,’ where Chandramohan delivered exceptional performance in a mute role. Chiranjeevi conveyed his personal loss at not having him around anymore and extended heartfelt condolences to the family and fans.

Actor Junior NTR paid tribute to the departed actor, calling his untimely demise a loss. In a post, he wrote, “Deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Chandramohan garu, who made a special identity in films for decades by playing various roles. My profound condolences to his family, and may his soul rest in peace.”

Actor Sai Tej remembered Chandramohan for his memorable performances and characters, offering heartfelt condolences. He wrote, “His face takes us back to old memories, and his memorable acting and characters bring a smile to our faces every time. May the soul of Chandramohan sir rest in peace.”

Film writer and director Sampath Nandi expressed his grief, recalling his enriching experience of working with Chandramohan. He wrote, “Chandramohan garu. Career of Chandra Mohan:

Born as Mallampalli Chandrasekhar Rao on May 23, 1943, in Pamidimukkala village in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, Chandra Mohan started his career in Telugu cinema in 1966 alongside Rangula Ratnam. Out of his 932 films, he played lead roles in 150. He received two Nandi Awards and a South Filmfare Award for his contributions to the South Indian cinema.

He showcased his acting skills in various films, including ‘Sankarabharanam,’ ‘Seetamalakshmi,’ ‘Padaaharella Vayasu,’ ‘Siri Siri Muvva,’ and ‘Chandamama Rave.’
