On Saturday, Randeep and Lin shared a joint note on their Instagram handles, saying, “Inspired by Mahabharata, where Arjun married Manipuri warrior princess Chitrangada, we are getting married with the blessings of our families and friends. We are delighted to share that our wedding will take place on November 29, 2023, in Imphal, Manipur, followed by a reception in Mumbai. As we embark on this journey, we seek your blessings and love for this cultural union, for which we will always be grateful and indebted. In love and light, Lin and Randeep.”

A Mythological-themed Wedding

Given the connection to Mahabharata, Randeep and Lin’s wedding is based on a mythological theme. According to a source in the report, “Randeep is a private person and does not want media attention on his wedding. And that’s one of the reasons he is going to Manipur to get married. Another significant reason is that he wants to start a new chapter of his life from the place where his beloved is.”

Lin made her debut in Bollywood with the 2007 film “Om Shanti Om,” where she played a small role as a friend of Om Kapoor (Shah Rukh Khan). She has appeared in other Bollywood films, including “Mary Kom” (2014) as Bem, “Udta Punjab” (2015) as Uday’s wife, “Rangoon” (2017) as Mema, “Kedarnath” (2018), and “Extraction” (2019) as Chiffon.

As for Randeep Hooda, he will be seen in the film “Swatantra Veer Savarkar.” The project is a biopic of freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, known as Veer Savarkar. Directed and co-written by Randeep Hooda, along with Utkarsh Nithani, the film is produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures, Legend Studios, and Avadh Films.
